Gaston Roullet (1847 - 1925)

French school, painter of landscapes and seascapes. Pupil of Jules Noël. Knight of the Legion of Honour in 1895. He left numerous works from his travels in Normandy and Brittany. Adventurous, his trip to Tonkin is part of his particular interest in the picturesque, and in the emotion that wild landscapes inspire him. Present in the museums of La Rochelle, Nice, Toulon, Brest, Montreal.
