Paul Pascal was born in Melun. He was a French painter, trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris by A. Maignan and Jean-Léon Gérôme. He is known for his landscapes, nature scenes and portraits, influenced by Impressionism. From 1894, he exhibited with Les Artistes Français, becoming a member. A lover of Brittany, he painted many landscapes and genre scenes there. Although less famous than other artists of his time, his work is appreciated for its sensitivity to light and its ability to capture atmosphere. His works are preserved in regional museums in France.
