This beautiful harmony of green in the spring countryside shows us his mastery of watercolour. This landscape shows Henri Rivière's love for nature. We can feel the pleasure he takes in setting up his easel on the corner of a path and scrutinising, in the afternoon, the smallest grove that he reproduces with his delicate touch.
