We are at the beginning of the 20th century, at this time the sardine is the lifeblood of the port of Concarneau. There are more than five hundred sardine boats and a little more than three thousand sailors living from their fishing, drying their blue nets hanging from the masts. Never have the quays been so busy as at this time of year.
