Rare lenticular-shaped snuffbox with altar decoration

Elm burl and yellow copper. The snuffbox is adorned with stylized waves and palmettes alternating in openwork on the edges, while the lid is decorated with an altar displaying objects of worship. Marked with the initials B.R. surrounding a heart and dated 1811. Crack in the wood of the lid.
